The carpets woven in Middle Anatolia make up the major part of Turkish carpet art. This carpets' characteristic feature is that the warp threads are cotton and the weaving threads are wool. They sometimes consist of floral and wavy motives which can be enclosed by medallions and sometimes geometrical patterns can be observed. The colours also vary very strongly among these carpets.
