Anatolian rugs and kilims, considered among the most important elements of traditional Turkish nomadic life, are anonymous works of art that reflect the cultural accumulation of these lands since prehistoric times, and at the same time convey the Turkish world view and understanding of art. The artists of this extraordinary art are Anatolian women, whom we may never have the opportunity to meet, and who transform the space they live in into a home and sustain the family with the sublime harmony of colors and motifs they use.
The birds, flowers, cypresses and the evocative motifs inspired by nature that these women bring to life on their looms, color the spaces in which they live. The starting point of Anatolian Colors is to carry this beauty around the world. With these anonymous works of art, you can enliven your home with the unique colors of Anatolia, wherever you live in the world.
All rugs in Anatolian Colors reflect the selections of Muammer Sak and Mustafa Haskaraman, two rug masters who have dedicated their lives to rug culture, or are from their own collection. Together with your rugs we will send you a certificate signed by them and approved by Cappadocia University, stating the origin of the rugs, as well as the type and quality of the dyes and materials used.
Anatolian Colors is also committed to the sustainability of the endangered Turkish art of weaving and supports the production of rugs and kilims. We hope to add these "production rugs" to the collection very soon.
The colors and motifs of Anatolian rugs, which reflect the beauty of the nature we share, give us a sense of peace and freedom and make us want to protect nature together, forever.
